CHARLOTTE, N.C.—DoubleClick Adoptions, a nonprofit organization that connects potential families with orphanages and adoption agencies, will hold its first DoubleClick Carnival on April 11. The carnival will promote the DoubleClick cause and website while offering rides, prizes, and snack foods to guests. The carnival will be free of admission to all guests, and children ready for adoption from orphanages will be at the event.
DoubleClick’s website and online platform seeks to connect potential families with orphanages and adoption agencies to create new matches between the families and the children. The website allows families to pay membership and profile enrollment fees to join, while adoption agencies and orphanages pay referral, match, and screening fees to join DoubleClick. Website sponsors and advertisers also pay for placement on the DoubleClick site, and the same advertisers will sponsor the DoubleClick Carnival event. Families at the carnival will have the opportunity to win prizes in the form of waivers for these fees.
